Ambassadors

The 5 Goals of Ambassadors:

Nurture Our Growth in Christ

Strengthen One Another

Provide Biblical Teaching

Enjoy Fellowship

Impact the World for Christ

Nurture Our Growth in Christ

An Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) is basically a “mini-congregation.” It is a group of people who identify and relate to each other as a community. An ABF is self-governed and responsible for the life, direction, and growth of the group. Ambassadors ABF is a place where individuals feel welcomed, known, and at home. There is a spirit of togetherness.

Strengthen One Another

Since most of us are in similar “life” situations, friendships are easily made. As a result, burdens are revealed, prayer requests made, and praises rejoiced over. Every week before our lesson begins; these items are shared and prayed for. We also have a prayer chain in place for situations requiring immediate prayer. Ambassadors care about each other and minister to one another through cards, meals, phone calls, and various other means.

Provide Biblical Teaching

In Ambassadors, we study the Bible, the living Word of God. Topics rotate between Old Testament, New Testament, doctrine, and topical (from a Christian perspective) led by various teachers. We learn biblical truths for life application and transformation.

Enjoy Fellowship

Each Sunday morning before teaching begins, Ambassadors enjoy a casual fellowship time with coffee and refreshments. This allows us to catch up on what is happening in each other’s lives. Our class also provides activities, socials, and service projects that are fun and bring our group closer together.

Impact the World for Christ

As Ambassadors, we strive to take our faith with us wherever we go or wherever we may be. Our ABF provides a friendly atmosphere where visitors are always welcomed. We try to nurture an outreach mindset to our families, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and those who cross our path. We aim to carry Christ’s love and light to a world in need.

Additional Information

Ambassadors use a leadership team to meet the needs of the class and of individuals. This is done through “C.A.R.E.” groups, which communicate, act as a willing servant, reach out, and encourage.

Our Key Verse: “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” II Corinthians 5:20 (NIV) ~ ~ ~ As Ambassadors, we are representatives of Christ. Jesus Christ is the true light. As Christians we are to let Christ’s light shine through us and reflect His light to an unbelieving world. In a nutshell, we are to “carry the light” to our families, friends, relatives, neighbors, co-workers, acquaintances, and even strangers... pointing them to Christ.
